      Yes ironic isn't it?

Still, they may not be ultimately able to work with these larger companies either. Wait for the "Oh and you need to make x% of the units affordable" or "Housing NZ will provide tenants for you" etc.
      Squadly dinky do!

"Is this an acknowledgement that Housing NZ are not building enough? Is it an acknowledgement that KiwiBuild is a complete dud?
Or perhaps that the Kiwibuild thing was a grand lie to sucker voters?

The government's flagship housing policy KiwiBuild has faltered significantly and is now being "reset".
I wonder what the euphemism "reset" will mean in practice?

no one seems to have told the labour party webmaster yet

when will this open + transparent gov. stop with the false advertising???

"Build 100,000 affordable homes across the country

Labour’s KiwiBuild programme will build 100,000 high quality, affordable homes over 10 years, with 50% of them in Auckland. Standalone houses in Auckland will cost $500,000 to $600,000, with apartments and townhouses under $500,000. Outside Auckland, houses will range from $300,000 to $500,000."

that information is at least 6 months old/wrong as wanaka prices were way higher

Never let the facts get in the way of some good political spin.
