i bought a rental property that has a subdividable backyard a few years ago. I wanted to build another house on the backyard for another rental. So i started with a surveyor and got resource consent. Then i talked to a builder, and they told me i could start building the house while waiting for the subdivision to be finished.
Now i am changing my mind as my purpose was to have another rental and not selling , so subdividing would be not useful at this stage.
Will that be ok to just have another house under 1 title without subdividing for rental?
