You need to research more the issue is that a TH on a trailer is not a building and therefore exempt.

You are confusing 10m2 exemption for a building consent which is still a building and subject to building code and planning rules.

There is a court case in wellington at present where access may be a trigger point for becoming a 'building'

The way I see it (after watching the 3 tiny home TV shows and NZ costing an insane $3000 sqm build vs $750 in Bris)unless building yourself or you can wait until building priced return to normal, tiny homes are a Fad and way to expensive for the payoff they provide which isnt much. How about a small sized home, sounds more sensible.

I agree whole heartedly, although Id blame John Key not Labour, Labour just takes a few terms to fix nationals mistakes. I cant believe I use to be a Nationalist. I think I still am, I think its National that is no longer Nationalist.

It is the labour government that are running the government departments now, that are seeking to regulate these TH's out of existence. It beggars belief. TH's are the answer to homelessness as they allow people the dignity of ownership of their home without the onerous cost of the land that is required to erect a building, They only need a space to park.

Amen. Although Id be happier seeing small home communities, not built at $3000sqm, poissbly cookie cut owner build village with a builder making sure compliance occurs. Buy a small block of land and let people have some self worth in such an ugly economic situation. Something like Kevin Mcleod would build but on a smaller home scale.

But, but, we can't have dignity of personal ownership. No. That would remove people from what the current crop of socialist clowns want: dependency on them. (I.e. voting fodder at General Elections.)

If they own their own houses, they start thinking they control their own lives and start having their own ideas. That cannot be allowed.
