Anyone changed their supermarket shopping habits lately?
Yes I've noticed that too. I remember the old days when I used to skip around the supermarket singing about how good the free bags were.
I remember seeing on tv all these happy people signing the petition to ban plastic shopping bags and saying how good this would be.
Can't see any happy people now.
Why is that?
Had this thread in mind when shopping yesterday for bin liners. Eco ones are expensive!. More than my Gym membership! So save the world or me , Greenies - dont tell me to take a hike , my choice !
Almost every aisle had tons of stuff wrapped in plastic. what gives?
Bin liners replacement ideas please ? - I am talking same cost as plastic bin liners, not daily price of feeding a family.
The price is for 100 of large plastic bags,,,, they are same size as Paknsave shopping bags
We packed 100 bags in one plastic bag for our customers but you ...
Look to be supermarket bags and almost free - 3.5c each
I've been taking re-usable bags to the supermarket for many years, now.
From home, I take a reusable coffee mug when I go to the Farmers' Market;
and a re-used bread bag for any bread I might buy.
Look to be supermarket bags and almost free - 3.5c each
I just had a thought - some enterprising kid should stand outside a supermarket and sell these bags to shoppers - 10 bags for 50c.
Shopper can give the bags to the checkout girl to fill.
Kid earns some pocket money.
Two wins.
The supermarkets stirred up the anti-plastic nutters with their banning of plastic bags at the checkout.
Now the nutters are taking it to the next level and are calling for a 'National Day of Action' against the supermarkets:
You have to smile.
The supermarkets have been duped by the nutters into moving to 'plastic free' without realising that they are locked into using plastic for all their made on site produce.
This could get awkward.
Food and hygiene regs mean foods items need to be covered and plastic works best for this.
The nutters are saying they don't mind eating contaminated food.
Strange people.
