Advertising signs

Hi ppl,

We are looking at taking over a cafe along a SH and was looking at creating more awareness.

We noticed that there isn't any signs on either directions approaching the cafe and was hoping to have a couple put up.

NZTA won't allow signs outside the boundary of the roadside property so we would have to approach the land owner.

Has anyone done this before? How did you approach the owner and what kind of remuneration was offered?

While we understand the signs are our responsibility and we have to weatherproof it, how would the insurance work?
