Curious, was it the Watergate privacy issue that makes you think that Nixon wasn't the best?
He was a gifted politician but he is responsible for the deaths of 22,000 men in Vietnam through delaying the peace deal 4 years. And of course he was guilty of treason. Those 2 major issues aside, he was otherwise astute and brilliant.

And yet, the ting that ended his career was the abuse of power and invasion of the democrat's privacy.
Why do you suppose those two acts seemed so repulsive to the public?

I would say because back then we still expected virtue from those with power.

Now Mike Hoseking is of the opinion that Kiwis think they are too good for seasonal work.

I did seasonal work every school holidays for very little money.
I was never too good for it.
It was hot and dirty but fun.
            Meh, money is money.

Has Mike ever done seasonal work?

Millennials reject tuna not because they dislike the taste

but because they can't open cans

Millennials can't hold a pen correctly either.

                  What's a pen?

Is it one of those things you used before texting and email and YouTube?

I think I remember seeing my great grandfather use one, to put marks on pulped trees... what's that stuff called? paper I think.

I think they even had some strange way to take selfies, with these really slow chemical cameras.

And computers didn't even fit in your pocket.

Life must have been so slow in the olden days.

Banks must have had way less of our money to leverage to their great advantage, because most of it was in the form of paper, in our pockets, and in our good and true possession.

Ahhh, I see their plan now.

                  Very sneaky.

Or - from my observations - a knife and fork!
