Default Who will be the next Leader of the National Party?

Simon Bridges is a bumbling wreck and will be gone by Christmas.
Who will step up and take the job?
I like the sound of Judith Collins in opposition.
She's got more testosterone than Simon.
Unleash her, and she'll shred this government to bits.

    Amy Adams will be eventually,

I went to one of Simon's meet and greets today. He came across rather well I thought. That said he's not about to be given unquestioning, fawning star treatment from the media. That is reserved for our student politician PM.

Perhaps Simon was put in as a leader to bridge the gap?

If proven OK - keep him.

If proven a dud - toss him.

Only if he proves a liability to the gNats getting elected, next time round.

Both the reds and blues are merciless in that way.

Muldoon ripped Bill Rowling apart on the campaign trail in 1975 and romped home to a landslide at the elections.
There's a lesson for National in that.

Reading Tom Scott's autobiography just now. He covers this time in some depth.

Yes Rowling came 2nd too many times, then a large lawyer from Mangere took over and eventually ousted the sad old Muldoon.
    Squadly dinky do!
