Interesting picture caption in the article:
"A code of conduct covers how salespeople behave."

More like: A code of conduct covers how salespeople SHOULD behave.

      Caveat Emptor

Can it get any worse for wanna-be-empire-builder Bindi et al?

Wonderful thing, those [non-binding] ethics for REAs, Bindi.

All the more reason to force PMs into the fold, hmmm?

      Yeah, right!

Real estate agent sanctioned for not revealing leaky issues when selling her own home

Another feather in Bindi's <REA ethics are necessary for PMs> cap.

Gosh she clearly knew there were issues with water tightness from the first report as the 2nd report she then commissioned, alluded to the fact that moisture ingress was not part of its inspection..

Talk about a comedy of errors.

Another good reason to shy away from REAs making out they can run a PM business.

              I'm obviously behind the times . . .

Ye Olde IPMA (Independent Property Managers Assn.) has morphed into something called: Property Managers Institute of New Zealand (PROMINZ)

              A sort-of media release, here . . .

New alliance to up property manager standards

Finding a member (via the web site) is now somewhere between difficult, impossible and tortuous.

But it may be safe to speculate that Crockers Property Management Limited is not amongst the membership list.

Like so many such things, this article does not distinguish between Independent PMs and the generally half-baked PM divisions of REAs.

              <sighs>

                Dreaming, Again

Shameless Bindi is soliciting and empire-building touting again, here.

Don't anyone mention the incidents below, now, y'hear?

South Auckland real estate agent says her Facebook page was hacked

A huge privacy breach: The real estate agency employee who leaked the 'confidential' sales data behind Labour's Chinese house buying claims has been fired.

Can't have Bindi being blinded by reality-displacing-bad-stories-facts, now, can we?

I wonder how many landlords were aggrieved when in March 2020, before we went into lockdown it was reported by national media

?A landlord's advocacy group says there are no plans to reduce or freeze rent payments despite predictions the coronavirus pandemic will decimate the economy.

Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) CEO Bindi Norwell told Newshub despite the crisis it's "business as usual".

"We have not had any feedback via property managers that landlords are considering rental reductions or rent freezes, as rental property owners still have to keep paying their mortgages," Norwell said on Wednesday.?

A truly helpful contribution to "landlord advocacy" don't you think? Not long after, the Government introduced emergency policy to enforce a rental freeze.

Hmm. Yes. I also wondered how widely REINZ had canvassed "property managers" prior to surmising that LL's were not considering rent reductions and freezes?

                        Actually, a rent increase freeze.

But also a 'rental freeze' as that expression might relate to giving notices to vacate. (Retrospective and all!)
As many returning ex-pats found to their cost and dismay.
