    Default Legge lock handle springs

I am doing a bit of a renovation, and the interior door catches are those classic old chrome Legge locks.
They are are still serviceable, and work OK after a bit of CRC.

However, the return action (when the handle pops back up to the horizontal) tends to be a bit lazy, and I think it is due to the small springs that fit inside the handles themselves are either broken or missing.

I have asked my usual locksmiths, but they don't stock them.

Any ideas where I can get some?

what about a shortened, tightened ballpoint spring?

has worked for a honda 50cc gearbox...

I have found the correct springs, available at Bunnings. Retail $2.17 each.
