Default Recommend a painter for plaster house

Can some one recommend a painter who has experience with repairing minor cracks on texture coated fiber cement (Hardies). Single level 4 bedroom house no leaks but few cracks around the house. I have received couple of quotes, $5000-$7000 painters reckon two coats should be fine for the cracks. If I ask a specialist company they reckon each crack has to be treated separately and repaired costing upto $16000!!
    Iíll post some pictures soon.

Not per crack but $16000 all up. Do the cracks in harditex type cladding need to be fixed using some special technique and material? In the quote $7000 is for repairing cracks,re sealing junctions, re sealing cladding penetrations, $220 for washing, $6500 for 2 coats of dulux acratex 968 & $545 for scaffolding.

Do you know why there are cracks in the cladding? Could be land subsidence and therefore an issue with the foundations? Just asking as we see cracks in the cladding in houses often.

usually on a solid plaster house you will have cracking above and below windows and doors as any hole in a wall is a weak point, with harditex the hardi board should be fitted to eliminate that weakness so a join is next stud in from the edge of a window instead of up the side of a window, gan you upload a pic?
