"A spokesperson for the Real Estate Authority, which is responsible for regulating and licensing the real estate industry, said it did not have jurisdiction over property managers . . ."
So why would anyone deal with a PM related to a real estate company then ? Where do they raise complaints to ?

Technically complaints about mismanagement etc should be addressed to REINZ if they are a registered member.
Unfortunately, REINZ is mainly geared towards Real Estate Agents, not so much property managers.
So not a lot of tools available to deal with this kind of thing.
I cannot figure out why they unregulated the industry in the first place

So what recourse does anyone using an REAA branded Property Manager have ????

I wonder if this article will prompt the government to have PM' regulated.....hopefully if they do regulate the industry it won't be as ludicrous as how the tribunal work on damagesFraser Wilkinson
