Dog control is going to be a growth industry. Our local one does a really good job at present but with this new initiative, they will have their hands full.

Housing Minister Phil Twyford should ask those pets if they wanted to be allowed in state house?
Housing Minister Phil Twyford should ask taxpayers if they wanted to pay for the additional pets related damage? Obviously insurance won't cover it.

I hope Housing NZ and the Councils keep track of the extra work monitoring compliance with the rules around pets and the extra costs they will face. Costs will not be trivial.
