Hello everyone,
Highly appreciate if you could look into this issue and let us know what specific actions can we take against these issues. Thanks in advance for your time and inputs.
House has First Floor (7 residents), Ground Floor (a couple), SleepOut (1 rsident). Washing machine is inside Ground Floor bathroom. Total 8 residents share First Floor Toilet & bathroom (7 residents + 1 resident of Sleep out) & 1 couple share Ground Floor Toilet & bathroom
A New Couple has moved into the Ground Floor couple of Weeks back, who has extreme religious views and he demands no one in the house should see his wife. They paid little extra and our house owner has agreed to their odd demands and its making other 8 residents life harder
Issue1: First Floor Shower & Toilet is shared among 8 residents!!
Earlier the Sleep out room person was using the GFloor bathroom. But now, owner has asked him to use the First Floor bathroom as GFloor Couple don't want anyone to use theirs. 1st Floor Bathroom&Toilet is already shared among 7 First Floor Inmates. Now it would be 8
Isn’t it against the regulation to allow more than 6 people to share a toilet & Shower ?
So what are residents legal option?
The house owner has been telling, they will build a bathroom facility outside the main house, next to sleep out. But has not built it yet, and doesn’t see any chance of building it in near future.
Issue2: Washing
F-Floor residents can enter GFloor Bathroom, directly from upstairs, using the inside stair case and passing a door. Earlier, we used to take this stair, open the GFloor Door and wash once in a week depends on our work/School schedule and weather conditions. Now the G Floor Husband keep the door locked all the time, he has got the permission from house owner for this.
Washing machine is inside GFloor bathroom. Now Owner has put a new washing roster, and we can only wash on SAT & SUN between 9AM to 1PM. Saturday 4 members & Sunday 4 members.
Also, Before we go to GFloor for washing, each resident MUST make a call to the G Floor Husband. Inform him that I am coming for washing. Then he will ask his wife to go inside bedroom so no one will see her, then he opens the door, then we will put dress for washing and come out. Now again he will lock the door. After 1 hour, to collect the washed dress, we need to call him again and ask him to open the door again. Each 8 residents has to follow this procedure as per House owner’s instruction.
This is making our life harder as we need to make call each time, some weekends it would be raining and sometime people would be working weekends as well. Also we have to wait in queue till the other person finishes washing. we never heard anything like this anywhere.
We did bring these issues to house owner notice, but House owner and GFloor couple doesn’t care.
Is there any legal provision to prevent this kind of bizarre procedures?
Thanks.
