I am looking at buying an investment property and the sole owner/occupier committed suicide in the garage, which is detached from the property. The agents have to disclose this of course.
Question is how much under market value would this make it. It cuts out some cultures from investing due to spiritual reasons.
Property is in Auckland and it will be a long term investment, so in the future would I need to disclose this to buyers when it comes time to sell? Is it documented anywhere.
I already have another property which I have owned for more than 10yrs and had multiple tenants, in the first year one tenant died in the house of natural causes. I did not ever think I would need to disclose that if it comes time to sell.
