Hi All,
I have a couple of properties in NZ (plus personal home) with combined lending over the LVR restrictions; thus refinancing or further lending is difficult if I am to stay within those rules and not seek alternative approaches.
However, I also have quite a bit of equity in property in the UK from time living there (although with the performance of the GBP the value of this is deteriorating quickly!). Does anyone have any experience with any NZ lender who might be able to leverage off that equity in the UK as part of my overall NZ LVR evaluation, or any way around this?
The UK property is with HSBC, they will also not refinance any further for a non-resident as of a recent policy change, so getting cash out of the property into NZ is not really an option, and not ideal at the moment anyway with the low GBP. Being able to leverage off it would be the ideal option.
Thanks in advance for any advice
