I've recently entered commercial property management and thought I'd get to know the preference of other investors. Personally, I'm working for a small firm where I'm the only PM and our primary business is consulting and architecture. I've been looking after retail and office and I can say from my experience that offices are easier to manage but retail is certainly far more exciting. I really like watching small businesses on their way to becoming major players.
What's your preference and why? Obviously the primary reason is for return but past that, what makes a commercial property particularly interesting for you?
