Don't see the problem.
As we have been so frequently told by the Otago Academics, all you have to do is add insultaion and the house magically gets warmer with nothing else required.
Oh, and of course the cost of the insulation is always paid by somebody else!

Who'd have thunk it is more expensive to heat a larger area?
Have spent the last year doing up my old bach, it had little insulation etc & used to be an ice box but now it is double glazed, fully insulated and new addition added. Bedrooms are all west facing and the warmth of the afternoon sun is now stored inside so last night even though a frost didn't even need to put the fire on. Place is about 100m2 floor area and intent to live in it fulltime before too much longer and have made it as cheap to run in as possible.
What we need to do is stop build 200m2+ McMansions.

And if there is no landlord, then 'the Government'. We all know that anything that the Government pays for is 'free', they just create money out of thin air.

So if developers get levied with some extra costs, it's "Good, those guys should pay!", no one thinking that it will get added onto the cost of the house they might buy or rent.Squadly dinky do!

I'm not allowed to say what I think of him here but leader and PM he is not. He is not to be trusted. Anyway once the election is over the Labour Maori caucus will dump him. Maori are circling the wagons around the old Labour Party. They along with Maori Party and Ngatai National want to rule NZ. Be aware its all part of their plan. Its worth noting that the Labour Party is not short of property itself and that would make a nice payout for whoever takes the reigns. Take them as an iwi settlement.
Don't believe me add up the number of Ngatai in Parliament and its by far the majority, which of course is why they get all the money and no one will knock them back. No one will tax their businesses.Last edited by Viking; 14-05-2017, 10:46 PM.
