Property Investment Advice

Hi There,

I am looking at investing about 120K in buying a property anywhere in North Island but should be a good investment in regards to positive cash flow and future development of that place. I have been looking for places but couldn’t find any decent ones in my budget, any help will be much appreciated

Hi Irfan, Do you have $120k of cash, so looking at properties up to $300k? Or just buying a property up to $120k?

If up to $300k I would try Rotorua or Hawkes Bay.

If only $120k, then I would think about Joint Ventures with other investors as a way into the market

Thanks for your reply, I have 120K in total and I would like to buy a decent investment property independently where can I afford to buy a property in this range?

Filter on Trademe of All NZ price up to $150k (no $120k filter) - there are many locations you can afford to buy a house on a section. List these locations and then assess if any of them meet your investment criteria

If I were looking for a property in that range I'd be looking in Wanganui. But for me, this would be a small part of a geographically diverse portfolio. I'm not sure I'd put my first egg in the Wanganui basket.
