drug testing of prospective tenants?
would hair be best as it can show up to 90 days ?
Yes, meth shows up on most urine-based test 2-3 days after use (longer for chronic or high dose users). More on types of meth testing and its detection window
or just test the most likely users, beneficiaries
or simply avoid them?Last edited by eri; 26-03-2016, 02:31 PM.have you defeated them?

Another article:
As Kiwi homeowners spend millions each year fixing P-contaminated houses, a drug detection expert has opened up on how to spot one in your neighbourhood.
I'm about to go property-shopping in low socio-economic areas and it's making me wonder if I should include it as part of my due diligence.
Would those kits be good for that?My blog. From personal experience.

Well, I think we're on to something, here. If the indications
are that LLs and PM are going to possibly get nailed if any
tenancy shows drug contamination, the NZPIF might just
do something other than talk (for a change) and tell those
in power that the NZPIF will be recommending drug tests
for all tenant applicants.
Might get a reaction or two from the do-gooders.

No. I treat it as "presumptive testing"
Something like the drunk drive roadside test. If it pops up positive I would discuss it with the owner to get an evidential test done.

Kapiti family homeless after buying meth-contaminated house in Waikanae
21 March 2016
Originally posted by StuffIt was a dream that went up in smokes. A Kapiti couple and their two young
daughters moved into what they thought was a perfect house. However, now
they are homeless after discovering their newly-bought house is contaminated
with methamphetamine. Their plight and others in similar situations have
prompted calls for mandatory methamphetamine testing when selling or
renting properties, and better real estate guidelines.
