Renting is a two way street. Tenants are people just like landlords and building owners. Not having everything go to plan is unfortunately part of the game for both sides.
The renters (my parents) are also property owners. They have used a property manager to manage their affairs in the past in if the boot was on the other foot would be approaching the situation like Glenn above, where life happens and all you can do is sort it out, rather than treating people like shit like Summit and some of you others would do by the sound of things.
Tenants are your customers at the end of the day and what goes around comes around (same is said for tenants who treat their landlords like crap too).
Anyway, as mentioned the property was left 1000x better than the condition they found it in and there have been no further repercussions other than the rent being returned as they were still a few weeks in advance it turns out.
Good luck to the property management aspect of the Summit brand locally.
At the very least I hope they start doing inspections on the assets that are left in their care (considering they are paid to do so).
