I am quite keen on laying carpet in my internal double garage before winter ideally.
My current garage is a concrete floor and has a nook/recess for the laundry section which comprises of a laundry basin, and reasonable floor space for the washer and dryer with a basic shelf above (quite empty also).
I would like to put some folding doors and install some form of cabinetry/shelves in this nook/recess to utilise this waste space. I am wondering is it OK to lay the carpet first on the garage including the nook section, and sort out the laundry improvements later, or should I sort out the laundry section first before laying the carpet?
Thanks for any feedback / tips / guidelines!!
