Have you looked into Papatoetoe? Good access to both SH1 and SH20 motorways, the mall, and the airport. Papatoetoe High School also has a good reputation, a lot of tenants do mention the high school as a reason for choosing a property. Prices for houses on smaller sections are still reasonable.

Another good area is Hill Park, where zoned for Hill Park school (year 1 to 6) and Alfriston College. House prices in the area are within your budget and it is close to the motorway.

I feel papatoetoe is more Asian only not multicultural so the schools would be the same as I am not Asian may be isolated in this community I guess , I am looking in Papakura in Opahekes seems close to good school and to moderate high school
