    The Sham is making his opinions at the moment, and his predictions, about housing in NZ and construction crash in 2018.

    He was wrong about Northland, in his zombie town insults.

    House prices have gone nuts in Northland since he said that.
    They have gone up about 35 to 50%

    Uni enrolments will continue to fall and tradie apprentices will continue to increase.

    Not really a stretch prediction as this is already happening. Interesting to see if the trend will continue.

    In my immediate family there is a tradie and an apprentice plumber. Tradie has an unrelated uni degree, apprentice easily clever enough for uni but has chosen the practical path.

    Plenty of work out there. Tradie not taking on any new clients as has more work than he and small team can manage from existing clients. Apprentice is working very long days, including Saturdays, as his employer also has a big workload.
