I feel like I've read most of the current proposed auckland unitary plan including the definitions - (understood maybe half) but would like to confirm a few things. I've trolled through the previous posts as well but apologies if there's a double up.
- For MHS zone for example, the current proposed plan says the minimum subdivided lot size is to be 400sqm net. This is vacant lots only right? i.e. if I divide the back of my house, it has to be at least 400sqm net?
- What if i'm developing the back of my house? If i submit the resource consent for subdivision with a landuse/new build proposal that complies, then what is the minimum lot size? I read in another thread that it comes down to building coverage and other planning controls?
- Just a thought - It also seems that we can now have 2 dwellings on MHS zone, I wonder if it's better to build this second dwelling and then subdivide at a later stage.
Any thoughts and comments would be much appreciated.
