so far

it seems to be going remarkably smoothly

wellington will be happy - doesn't look like they'll lose votes for seeming to heavy council

council will be happy - doesn't look they'll be held accountable for failing their core responsibilities

still some minor hurdles to be crossed

but aucklanders seem to be taking their medicine responsibly


however

that might change when they have to pay for it

which is why council are saying

very, very little about whose wallets will be tapped

I'm surprised this passed so easily - have all the NIMBYs decided they have done well enough already? Or am I mistaken and a lot of the previously proposed city intensification areas are not included in this passed plan?
