    Default Getting bond without tenants signature?

    Hi,
    Does anyone know if its still possible to get bond without the tenants signature?

    I think they have toughened up this process, they seem to return them now rejecting and requesting that an application is made to Tenancy Tribunal.

    You would hope that would be the case otherwise it make a ninsence of the process.
    Nothing to stop the tenant doing the same is there?

    Yes absolutely, once MBIE are in receipt they will then write to the tenants and if they don't respond they will then release it to your nominated bank a/c. Its commonly referred to as a 'one party claim'

    Yes you can however you have to wait 21 working days as they write to the tenant first and if no response it gets paid to your nominated account at the expiry date.

    It is also correct that you may obtain sign off with one signature if multiple tenants are involved. Tenancy services should refund your portion of a claim. Any balance owing to the tenant would be held in Trust till the tenant parties resolved it themselves.
