I'm looking at one property with a large section - 1280 m2 including some 100 m2 driveway more or less - which is zoned Single house zone under Auckland Unitary Plan.
As of now I believe the minimum is 450 m2 so it should be easily subdividable, right? But the application would have to be lodged before AUP.
If I get it right the minimal site size under AUP is 600 m2 net (without the driveway?). Does that mean that after AUP comes in the site won't be subdividable? Will there still be a chance to subdivide after AUP requires 600 m2 - I guess it should be...
Am I right or am I missing something?
And also for the Single house zone - will there be detached minor dwellings still permitted?
I spent this afternoon reading the relevant AUP sections but it's a pretty heavy reading - hope some of you can provide some more insight.
