  • Turning Email Notices On/Off

Forgive me changing the subject for a second but can anybody tell me how to turn off the emails that I keep getting telling me to reply to a thread?

Perry, every time I post in any thread it resubscribes me to the thread. Is there any way to turn that off? Drives me loopy.

Hover your mouse pointer, up the top, in the blue part, over
            FORUM ACTIONS
(with a wee down arrow to the right.)

Move pointer down and left click on
            General Settings

Go a little distance down the long list to:
            Messaging & Notification
            to
            Default Thread Subscription Mode:
and mouse-pointer-click on your preferred option.

            But wait - there's more!

Once you've done that, scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see, off to the right,
            [Save Changes]

            You must click on that.

Thanks Perry, after step 1, I get:

              "Bobsyouruncle
, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:"

Is my account limited in some way or am I just doing it wrong

Did you try to log in (even if again)?

                  Yes, still does this:

Bobsyouruncle, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
                  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
                  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

It's done under 'subscriptions' and then you see which threads you are subscribed to and you can select a thread and scroll down and open drop down box and select the action you want to take and the options are there for email etc.

                    cheers,

                    Donna

That only works until you post again, then you are resubscribed automatically. Is there a way to fix it please?

If it's not available it's not yet been released so best to unsubscribe yourself as soon as you've posted in the thread/s you don't want email alerts.

                        cheers,

I don't think that's right, Donna. I've sent you an e-mail on the matter.
