Hi All
I was hoping to make the APIA seminar the other night with the presentation on the Auckland property market outlook for 2016 from Andrew King and Ron Hoy Fong, but was unable to. Did anybody attend? It would be interesting to hear what they see coming for next year if anybody is willing to give a quick summary of what was said.
Also, it would be interesting to hear what the veterans on the forum have to say on how they see the Auckland market coming into next year. Given the supply demand equation, low interest rates, high net migration etc do they see the boom continuing for some time after the market digests the newly implemented investor LVR restrictions, or do they think the market is fully priced and we would expect to see a plateau or even some prices drops as some data is indicating. Have the foreign borrowers completely disappeared or will they return in the new year once that they have got there head around the changes?
I'm new to the property investment game and just beginning to learn and understand property cycles. I also understand that many people feel this cycle is unique as we may be at the top of the cycle but interest rates are low and expected to go even lower.
