Cool Building Costs Auckland Average cost per m2

    Hi all,

Does anyone have a first hand & recent experience of building new in auckland?

What are the costs for a basic spec build?
Building cost did not go up and is actually going down coz NZ material is 40% overpriced!!!

    So

    Check this on page 20

    branz.co.nz/cms_show_download.php?id=4a8fe57f274e0906d2c312acc 538db1187fa89d7

just remind you it is included up to 40% profit and yes it is not 2015 but prices not going up and
believe or not Im getting here in Auckland quotes low as 1070$ if I got my PM, or 1250-1350 if not
and Im doing 600m2 build brick and tile all incl, flat section...
    GJ was between 2400-3600
but DW can get even below 1500 all incl so guys do your homework before you start saying that u cant get anything below 2k

Anybody has any experience with a good pricing per m2? Btw we are talking only building cost not extra cost as council fees, development contribution, any other fees or etc.

Seeing you just posted about how cheaply you can build on another thread it is very strange you are now asking costs to build when you clearly know?

id be interested in knowing who you are getting rates <1500 from mate...because i just had a builder come back to me with a quote for $220k for a 60m2 minor dwelling.

Actually in Chch that sounds cheap. What square meterage? Does that include PM and Council costs?

190-200sqm. Yep it does. Even orange homes were under $2000/sqm, who have a good rep.

Ah. Bigger is better in this case. My understanding is that per sq m rates will be higher for smaller builds.
