You may be able to get New Zealand Superannuation if you:
- are aged 65 or over
- are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
- normally live in New Zealand at the time you apply.
You must also have lived in New Zealand for at least 10 years since
you turned 20. Five of those years must be since you turned 50.
So if you are 65 and come back to NZ (having lived and worked in Aus for most of you adult life (or certainly from before you were 50) you would have to wait 5 years before getting NZ Super.
What would they be eligible for in Aus assuming they don't have full residency (ie allowed to work and pay tax but not get a benefit)?
