I have four properties in total in three different cities; Auckland (2 properties), Dunedin (1) and Invercargill (1). Both my Dunedin and Auckland managers have been fantastic, however, Invercargill has had its challenges. My first management company seemed to specialise in doing very little whilst charging quite a lot, and my second company, I cannot really complain too much about: they do the quarterly checks, repair efficiently what needs to be repaired BUT, when I ask a question about the market and if rents are changing/increasing/decreasing, they get a tad "rude". The net result is as I live overseas I am unable to get a good handle on the rental situation in Invercargill and because their overall performance is good, I doesn't seem right to change to yet another management company just because I don't like their words!
It would be good to get some guidance on:
(1) are there any GREAT property management companies in Invercargill?
(2) have rents been static in Invercargill for the past 6 - 7 years?
