Is it ok if the roof paint appears not that smooth?

Hi, I just have my roof painted and some spots of the surface is not that smooth. As shown by the photo



The roof was not in good condition, and rust is developping. The painter water blastered the roof, apply rust killer and paint two coast. But it seems the finish is not perfect and not ver smooth.

Do you think it is acceptable? Is it cosmetic only ? Will it affect the use of roof or compromise the life?

I would say it depends on how much you paid for their service. If they were on the lower end then I would expect imperfections cosmetically as shown.

On a side note, it wouldn't hurt to engage the painter who did the job for you to ask them to check the area of concern.

There is a reason for the roughness - maybe they paintered over something (leaves, dirt)?
Or maybe the rust wasn't cleaned off properly.
As has been suggested - ask the painter to comment.

ring the manufacturer of the paint for their opinion? They should be concerned if a client is abusing their product?

Looks to have been done by a cowboy, preparation time
should have been longer than the painting time ?
Has not been wired brushed then cleaned down before
painting, tell him in writing to rectify. If does not take the
painter to court and use Fair Go.

If you have some of the paint left have a dig at an area to see what is under it.
You can repaint the area (small) after.

I would agree with Wayne on that one.
My guess is that some of the crap from the tree has fallen (or was knocked)off and has gotten in the paint.
If thats the case,although it doesnt look great,its most likely going to hold up ok as long as its well embedded.
If however,its chunks of rust,then that is more of a concern and should be treated more thoroughly.
I cant imagine there would not be enough paint for touch ups (it normally comes in 10liter buckets)
If the painter says there is not -I would be suspicious.
