Chinese population is a lot bigger than japan and it may take a bit longer for their population to drop. One reason many chinese want to migrate to nz is because they dont like one child policy and want more children. They can do it here. Nz immigration is perfect for china. As they are one child policy country once they get here they can easily get their aging parents to migrate too as there are no other siblings to take care of parents in china. Immigration policy gives advantage to such one child policy family. Very soon china problem will become nz problem: that is nz will be taking care of those aging parents who follow their children here. In the old days we have british empire. Now is china trying to set up a new empire worldwide.

If immigration is required to boost economy shouldnt nz diversify in terms of setting quota in terms of nationalities. A bit similar to usa green card visa lottery where some nationalities no longer qualify. Diversification rather than one or a few nationalities dominating? Just a thought.

"nz'ers don't need a visa to visit japan
because japanese do not need a visa to visit here"
So where have you been since 1998 bro? Long gone methinks. Australians ans New Zealanders can go most places in the world for 90 days without a visa. ESTA?? Best thing since sliced cheese.
Do yourself a favour and get rid of that quote at the bottom of your blogs. Looks like the sort of comment a bogan might make. Sorry.

Despite the parents of Chinese immigrants being a greater number than all other nationalities combined.
Our superannuation system can afford to support them.
Our heath system can afford to support them.
Our taxpayers are happy to keep paying.
Key not concerned about migrants accessing pension
He said he was totally relaxed about elderly Chinese being eligible for the full pension after 10 years.

The sign of a dumb population is when your land is sold off and you fail to object in the streets, when you let immigrants force their way in contrary to the laws and when you then let them take everything which your nation has built up for the incumbent population.
What sickens me is that there are always citizens who are making a buck from all of the above (immigration lawyers?) and who fight tooth and nail for their right to to so with scant regard for the national good. Maybe there needs to be a law which sees some of these people emigrate to a place which accommodates their wishes.
I followed the link and read the story. Frightening. And how much is the pension in China? What pension?
