Many articles on property investment mentioned the successful investors should have 7% gross yield or more. After checking my own property situations, I found only one has achieved 7.8%, and others are only around 5.6% averagely. The one with 7.8% was bought in 2007 and only achieved that figure by unconsciously after more than 6 years, Hehe……..
Currently, I plan to buy other rental properties again this year. After searching from trademe and nzrealestate, I found it’s impossible for me to get ideal properties with 7% yield in nowadays market. Maybe I should target 5% yield properties?
Can anyone share his/her views on 7% yield properties from the angles in the below? or give me some suggestions about the new figure on X%? Thanks a lot!
1. Is still realistic in current market?
2. Where (which city or area) are they, or no more such kind of places?
3. What type of properties, e.g. apartment, townhouse, unit, house……
