Help. I attempted to file a tribunal application this morning (as one does on Sunday mornings) but the website is not responding. Has anyone else had this problem. When did it go down. Does anyone know when it might be up and running again. At first I thought it might be related to the new application forms they are introducing but they are not due to hit us until 1 August.

Goodness. So they sent some people but not everyone an email saying it was going down. My mind boggles as to how they could let Motivated know but not me. I feel really deflated to think that a high user like me was overlooked. Unless of course I have not read the "important" information that might have been sent and not read. I wonder who they get to do their web site maintenance. Too bad their IT skills does not extend to leaving a message. I tried accessing the site via both my favourites, and also tried it from their web site URL and Goggle just in case they had changed the address. With people like that working for them little wonder the tribunal on line site got hacked and taken down for over a month.

I do wonder what motivated got sent. The DBH call centre staff told me that it is a #$% up. When the staff arrived this Monday morning they discovered no applications. That was the first anyone in the department knew about it. It went down at 6 pm Friday night. Apparently when they had a merger of departments last year something fell through the cracks. The licence for web site they use has expired and know one knew. They do not know how long it will take to be up and running again. They have shut all the branches around the country even if they still have remote mediators. So there is no way of obtaining a form unless one gets posted it. The DBH web site says you can get one on line but that is not true because each one is unique with a scanable code. If however I was in Wellington or Auckland I could pick up a form. Well that is not much use to me. Heads should roll. How about Nicks Head for a starter.

My world floated back to the top again today. The missing web site resurfaced. By the time it was resurrected I had send off two applications using paper and email. I did fill out another two applications but held back on filing them because the tenants came to the party with the money. Goodness I had forgotten how long it takes to hand complete forms then drive into the bank to pay and get them stamped. Clearly someone worked hard to get the beast up and running again. I wonder what it will be like when they introduce the new application forms.
