My soak hole testing has not gone very well.
I have may have the option of connecting to an existing soak hole if I get it tested and the soakage is good enough. The water table is only 1.2m below ground level so I am not counting on it. So I am now look at a back up plan.
I am now looking into retention tanks where the water from the roof is goes into the tank and then can be used by the occupants.
Has anybody used retention water tanks to satisfy their stormwater requirements when going for building consent with Auckland council? How did you get on? Who did you use? How much did it cost?
