Have you ever rented your property to someone to run a business or charity from the property?
I have someone from a church very interested in renting my property as a church administration office. She said they are renting a hall for the Sunday worship and my property will only be used as an administration office. Only small group of maybe 4 or 5 may gather at the office for prayer once a week and no large group meeting will be held.
My questions:
1. Does the Residential Tenancies Act allow someone to rent a residential property to run a business or chartity?
2. When signing the Tenancy Agreement, can the tenant be in the name of the church? Or should it be someone from the church? If the person leaves the job during the tenancy, does the tenancy agreement need to be modified?
Any council regulation or fire issues? Any other things I need to be aware?
