Recently moved to a house which is made of concrete blocks (from early 1970ies).
We are starting the renovation now and I am getting conflicting messages about the insulation.
The guy who did the pre-purchase inspection said that the concrete block houses "are warm in winter and cold in summer".
Another builder who was around to give a quote said something similar to that.
However a few other builders visiting the place had a very strong opinion that concrete blocks have very poor insulation performance and strongly advised to insulate the whole house.
Who is right?
Now, having a few hot days this summer, we know for a fact that the house stays cool on a hot days, but what about the winter ?
