TheLiberalLeft; not really, I don’t see your points.
Yes, I tell stories about people (no differentiation between renters and LL), and that is okay as long nobody is offended. Nothing is better than a nice story from the neighbourhood. Do you read the gossip in the media? But certainly in this forum.

From the beginning, runners own me money, I experienced that too. But it was my fault to let this happen. Even these experiences presented with humor are good stories.

Obviously I was wrong and these stories are indeed a barrel of laughs. It must be the way you tell them, klauster.

It is not at all true that landlords are humourless. Today a tenant rang to ask if they could give me two weeks notice and I laughed. Then they asked if they could have the weekend to move out (rent free) and I laughed again!

This open a new barrel of worms? Are landlords funny to other landlords, because I can appreciate this humour!

I've yet to meet a perfectionist who's also a party animal, or for that matter, good company at a dinner party. I'm not certain it's something to which you should aspire, eri. Unless you're already a heavy-duty OCD'er, in which case a mild dose would certainly be preferable.

PS. I think you left the bathroom tap running.

be seated next to an accountant at a dinner party, really?

                          IT people are geeks.
Might explain a lot. Aren't you an IT person? I seem
to recall some of your posts indicating that. Wasn't
it about teleconferencing or webinars or the like?

And Drelly is an IT person and he described how he
gets his laughs from a situation that a few LLs can
                          probably identify with, without difficulty.

But yes, generalisations can be problematic.

..LLs are never short of a story or two that must make them great dinner guests.

                            cheers,

I think humour requires group knowledge. Hence comedy doesn't travel very well.
I find most American TV 'comedy' shows quite boring, as I don't have the group knowledge to appreciate them
Similarly , Billy T and Fred Dagg would have bombed in the USA.

As Landlords/Property people, we can laugh among ourselves as we well know what the other guy is on about.

Have you heard the one about the Tenant, the Adjudicator and the bouncing rent payment. . .?

I don't have a sense of humour ..... I always tell my tenants that as well!
                                Patience is a virtue.
