Hi all,
MORE apartment news!
Korean developers are planning to build New Zealand's biggest apartment tower, with more than 900 units on a central-city Auckland site.
The 40-level block will be on the former Royal International Hotel site on the corner of Albert, Elliott and Victoria Streets.
The $200 million, 38-level Metropolis, completed in December 1999, is now the city's tallest apartment block.
The Koreans' site has been vacant for more than 10 years after the Royal International Hotel was demolished, and has been leased to Wilson Parking.
This year, Indonesian-controlled Colwall Properties sold the block for $24.5 million to Korean developer Ganada, controlled by Huh Jae Ho and Seo Dong Woon.
