Hi All, first time poster here - additionally looking to become first time buyer!
We have found a place in the North Shore we are quite keen on and have received all the required information like LIM reports, moisture readings etc. The one issue of concern is that the current owner has done a small extension to one of the rooms that has increased its size. This extension does not have a CCC.
Firstly although I'm aware no bank will issue a mortgage for a house that does not have a CCC does this apply to just an extension? The independent buiding report came back clean as a whistle but this part rankles with me. I'm not sure if they didnt apply for the CCC post build of the extension because the two year period expired or if there was a problem. If I enquire from the Auckland Council will they give me information on whether a CCC was applied for and if this was turned down?
Apologies if these questions are slightly noobish but I am rather new at all this
