I would be very interested in any feedback from anyone with experience with purchasing an existing house to be relocated to their own piece of land..specifically I am looking for a rough idea of cost involved in relocation (probably only relocating within Auckland) Should purchasers ask for the usual LIM report beforehand or is an independant inspection advisable? Also, do all resource consents and council approvals apply as per when you are building from scratch?
Or is this a special case with different procedures to follow?
