As a former resident of an apartment which was being sublet. I have had a tad bit of trouble getting my bond back.
It has been two months since I have left the apartment but yet to this day, my application for a mediation with the Tenancy Tribunal has been declined due to the fact that the subsequent "Landlord" is not exactly a landlord.
The contract stated that I had to give 2 weeks notice prior to departure and also that I had to find a new tenants to replace me.
I had given her notice before departure and also tried looking for a replacement tenant but unfortunately, due to the fact that I could not find anyone to replace me, the "landlord" refuses to return my bond back to me... I had caused no damage to the apartment and there had never been a case of rent being paid late or not being paid.
What should my next step be?
Thank you
