  • You're so right - they would. They would be quick with the nasty labels and put-downs,
demonstrating true feminazis tactics: attack the messenger - avoid the message.

She photogenic (less so now) but hollow.
      She's no Helen Clark.
And there's still no-one in the Labour Party with true Prime Minister abilities so she won't be replaced.
She will have to be replaced if she falls over. However, unless she elects to vacate the role, more likely to be a step aside for a while with Mr Peters taking over.

      • I have to laugh.
She's photogenic enough to become Prime Minister.
Now there's calls to award her a Noble Peace Prize:

Just shows how valuable a pretty face is.

          • Yep.
This is a huge bonus for Labour.
However, I predict this will all blow over in a month.
CGT (remember that?), failing to build any new houses, shortage of rentals/ rent increases will come back and bite them in the bum.
And the gun lobby are pissed off.

How hot the heat will be when it returns to toast Labour's feet over the failures of the term, remains to be seen.

The modest media references to the 'open borders' UN thing is surprising, though.

Why on earth people vote for this party I'll never understand.

All pollies lie, but Winnie lies more than all of them put together.

And then of course it's obvious he has no interest in actually doing anything once in power. He just wants the money, the dinners etc.
                    Squadly dinky do!

                    • The baubles and trinkets of power, is what he called them, David.

BTW, they're not lies; they're excuses, justifications and rational obfuscations. (aka porkies)

                      • Time to turn the attention of this thread to Aus Labor party... they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory!

                        • May it happen in NZ, too.

Problem is, with the current lot on offer, it's the frying pan or fire.

                          Or the hot embers.

                          • People vote for people first - and Bill Shorten was uninspiring. Back here, Jacinda is the opposite, and short of a miracle National hasn't a chance of getting her out - Labour will probably get in without the need for alliance partners.

                            cheers,

                            Donna

                            • I said Jacinda could become PM before the election because she was photogenic.
That's all it takes in NZ.
We all know she can't do anything and knows very little about the duties of a PM.
Crusher Collins isn't as photogenic but she's the only one who can rip Jacinda apart in the debating chamber.
Unleash her, Simon, it's playtime and the good-cop, bad-cop routine will result in Jacinda collapsing under pressure.
Simon can then lead National to victory.
