A portfolio of X$million is not a useful indication of skill or success, unless the true debit side of the ledger is revealed too. What say he owes more than that, and his assets are all in a market on the way down? I'm not saying they are, but wouldn't it be a good idea to at least find out
As you say, Donna, Sean Wood may be the real deal, but I wouldn't pay any attention to how big his "portfolio" is, not without more information as to how big his creditors portfolio is, for starters. My point is that the total picture may may or may not be different when it is looked at closely, but in the meantime it is quite likely that careless people get sucked in by the glitter. No harm done, I guess, if he is the "real deal", but the "15 $million portfolio" phrase is a bit of a come-on, like "Come on, buy my book, Come on, come to my seminar, Come on". Basically meaningless in my book.
He said his borrowings is 38pc of the $30m portfolio
That's scary young. Don't know how well he lived his life, but if it was all accumulation of wealth you'd have to wonder whether he got to enjoy much of it.
No sense in dying a multi-millionaire if you haven't been living the life you want.

He lived life to the full just a shame it ran out.
He mentored alot of people and was highly regarded and respected which will no doubt be evident at his memorium.
My 2 cents worth........Sean did live life to the full and he did it his way. He started with nothing, worked hard as an employee and senior manager building businesses, then he focused on doing the same for himself including a multi-million dollar property portfolio. Notably Sean survived the GFC, while so many other investors hit the wall and with his business PropertyTutors, he created a mentoring program that has changed the lives of hundreds of people and it continues to do so today with mentors who were once his students. RIP Sean.
