We recently purchased our first house at a mortgagee sale, and now we are anxiously waiting and hoping that nothing bad happens to the house before settlement. We are working with the real estate agent who is trying to make sure the ex-owner leaves the property peacefully on settlement day, and claims that the guy is nice but got caught up in unexpected situations. Obviously we are not going to just take her word for it, and we are thinking about maybe telling the real estate agent that we are happy to help the ex-owner move out (elbow grease or financially), what would be the best way to approach this? Not too keen to say to her (directly) that we are willing to offer money for the ex-owner to move on, as we fear this may come back to bite us, but if necessary it's a relatively small amount of money for what it can achieve...
Sorry just realised I posted in the wrong section, and can't seem to move it, if anyone can help with moving/deleting this message that would be much appreciated
