Here goes.....Galbraiths Alehouse, 2 Mt Eden Rd, Mt Eden (cnr Mt Eden Rd and Symonds St)
Saturday 19th February, 12.00 noon. Plenty of parking on site
Meals available

PropertyTalk.coms first knees up for 2011 - this is a casual get together where you can meet your fellow PT members, enjoy an ale/wine, talk property and perhaps seek advice on your next project. On arrival, Galbraiths bar staff will direct you to our seating position.

Methinks you might overanalyse Ahar
Galbraiths is a relatively small pub - dont think it has a separate function room- unless you count the brewing room
Being a Normal pub - it is open to all & sundry, so speakers etc aren't very practical if the pub fills up during the afternoon (it opens at midday), same with covercharge, unless someone is willing to rent the premises for the afternoon.

On that basis i expect just a social get-together- maybe we should wear PT name badges - like you say, so we can put faces to names.

Not a Sales Event -

The mentioning of member's professions and businesses has set some alarm bells off in my head where I feel it appropriate to say that this PropertyTalk Meet is a 'social' event - it is not to be viewed by anyone as an opportunity to come along and flog your wares.

Over the years we have had motivated organisers/members arrange 'PropertyTalk' events to 'sell their services and products' and that is no longer tolerated.....unless of course it is a 'charity event' where all proceeds are donated to a worthy cause then of course we'd love to market it as a PropertyTalk Event.
