HEEELP!
Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I thought some of you may of come across this problem before and could offer me some advice.
We are looking to purchase a property in Rural Auckland with some unpermitted temporary accommodation built into a shed. We didnt care too much about the building being certified as we want to save up and build a new home in a few years. We are close to unconditional date and have just found out that we need a COA on the temporary accommodation to live in it (Im not sure whether the building was done before/after 1992, would of been around that time).
Is there any other options to make the place compliant so we wont get fined and could get some kind of insurance. Does anyone have any idea how much a COA could cost? Or how long it could take?
Any advice would be appreciated.
