  • 2010 PropertyTalk PI Survey - Yay!

    Hi All,

Many of you will recall we ran our inaugural survey this time 2 years ago - we had 50 questions - yep too many but so many of you completed the survey nonetheless - and this year we have just 25 questions - some are the same so we can provide a comparison of then (2008 ) and now. Plus we have a couple of new questions relevant to market conditions today.

Please take the survey for us - so we can all benefit from the results. The survey is anonymous with the results being a collation of answers etc.

Please feel free to discuss the Survey here too.

    Go to survey

    Cheers,

    Donna

    Subtle?

    The difference between . . .
    11. How many years have you been investing?
    21. How long have you owned investment property?
    . . . seems a little abstruse.

Yeah they are different questions Seymour - one is on actually owning investment property the other is time spent investing which may include non continuous ownership e.g. trading

      Cheers,

Late January - everyone who did the survey will get an email with a summary of findings and comparisons to results of the 2008 Survey.

Not sure when the results will make it on here i guess some time thereafter.

It's important everyone who participated gets gets the results first.

          Cheers,

          Donna

There are only 25 questions Whitt - last time you completed 50 questions. The questions are not compulsory - so yes you can skip.

              Cheers,

I thought about doing the survey and then gave up.
Does this make me a sloth?

Doing the survey is not compulsory - we'd like you to do it...and we don't ask much of our PropertyTalk community in return for offering such a wonderful resource....however the choice is yours - of course.

                    Cheers,

                    Donna

Since you asked nicely, I got off my slothful arse and did it.

Please take our survey....the results are for all of us...no one else.

                          Hi All,

We have 150 completed responses so far - well down on the 2008 Survey which got approx. 500 and as we have so many more people coming here now (25,000 every month) in theory we should get more responses than 2008.

So we need your help - more responses means we can compare 2010 to 2008 more accurately...and we are doing this for our PropertyTalk community i.e. you.

If you haven't completed survey - please can you do it for us here

                          Many thanks,

                          Donna

I can not remember my answers from last time.
Should I copy the last survey or was last years one just a ramble on discussion forum. I sort of remember participating last year.
                            Can you help.
Certainly I have done some investing this year that I was not planning on. Well actually I do not think I have ever purchased what I planned to do.
                            What does that make me.
An accidental millionaire or just a compulsive investor.

Would an accidental millionaire be someone who crashed their investment vehicle?
...Into a pile of cash perhaps?

Donna, when are the results coming? Cheers.
